Many people in the US don't realize the deep history of New Jersey. Lots and lots has happened there. I'm pretty knowledgeable about Lambertville's history.

Hey@ Soupe du jour i love Lambertville! My dad lived on Ferry street in New Hope for some years. We just to walk across the bridge to eat brunch at a cafe ( full moon cafe? Or moon) something like that. I remember they were one of the first places to carry ice cream Dove bars before they went corporate. If you look at a map on one end it’s Bordentown Township. At the other it’s Bordentown city. Fieldsboro is like the hole on the donut. It’s technically a village. When they first started working on the house ( after the old mayor let the town kids -and me or parents- Explore the house. So many dodads i wish i had grabbed something. I will say during our first history tour we found out my house used to be the groundskeepers house. When we remodeled the third floor the date carved into the planks was 1746. Talk about old! Theres been add-ons but
The front half is super old. In fact my house is so old they couldn’t find it when i went for a new homeowners insurance policy. Thank god I have auto with this company and she basically picked the oldest known information to give me one
The date she guessed was 1845. Ha.
