I used to stop them a lot because I thought I didn't need them because when I was manic I'd feel amazing, then things would get bad, I'd end up in the hospital and back on them. That went on for many years.

However, I have taken them pretty consistently the past few years, and while I do occasionally have episodes and symptoms sometimes where I'll need med adjustments, I've managed to stay out of the hospital this entire time so that's motivation enough for me to keep taking them.

I do get tempted to stop them sometimes though because occasionally I start believing that they're poison, but I've managed to stay on them
