Yes, there is a chat etiquette that everyone needs to learn and perform.

I know some members are slow readers, and some slow typists, and I allow time for that. Then, if there is an active conversation, they could all be reading or typing up a reply (wouldn't matter if fast or slow.)

But yeah, if you are in PM to each other, and that's how you are going to chat, I think it has been suggested that you make a private room. This is especially important if you have chosen to sit in the LOBBY and not reply. Please?

We have new members who instinctively go into the Lobby, and it's much better if no one is there rather than a few members who aren't chatting publicly.

It's a tough call because elapsed time does not show up on a chat copy...

I don't mind if others wish to talk privately, no, not at all. I enjoy it myself at times. But try and remember that you might get into a good conversation and totally exclude others in the chat room.
