I came out when I was 14. Looking back even before then, I was a tomboy hard core so to speak. When girl clothing was picked out, I always gave a fuss about it. However, growing up in a military household it was eventually unacceptable to fuss and dressing feme, wearing make-up and "girl" clothes was my way of life. I believe that part of my mental health issues stem from this pressure from my parents and pressures from societal expectations. I struggle with self-esteem issues, question how I fit in and wanting to fit in with the world still to this day. I have found this two links that have helped me to understand more of myself. I was amazed and how insightful they where. My hopes is that it helps someone who is struggling and to educate others for better understanding and compassion for others different then themselves.

Do you think your MH has struggles also?
