You are in crisis and as much as I share your distaste for inpatient treatment, it's a necessary evil sometimes unless you intend to waste your life in your bed. It's the best thing to help you stabilize.
I've been 5 times myself and am currently in step down outpatient treatment. It is helping me tremendously.
