My blood test results have put me in pre-diabetic range a few times, including my most recent one. It is a very serious issue. We definitely don't want diabetes! I think my meds play a part, though diabetes type 2 is common in my family, especially among female members. I'm so sorry your dad died so young. My paternal grandmother (getting kidney dialysis because of diabetes) also died as a result of a heart attack, though she was a lot older (early 80s). I remember the day well, as it was on my 30th birthday.

You deserve to be heard and not automatically discounted. It makes sense that you would be very worried about getting diabetes. I'm a bit worried for myself, as well. I need this to motive me more to fight it off. It's hard.

* Lamictal (lamotrigine) 150 mg
* Seroquel XR (quetiapine ER) 500 mg

I also take meds for blood pressure, cholesterol, and tachycardia.
