I've gotten involved in the "therapist cycle" and saw a new psychiatrist yesterday. I really liked her. I've suspected for a long time that I might be bi-polar but my regular doctor always "pooh-poohed" it. She went straight to the chase and asked me several good questions and said she thinks that I'm bi-polar. She has started me on the lowest doses of depakote, lamictal and is keeping me on low doses of the elavil and prozac.......I haven't picked up the lamictal (sp) yet as I didn't go out of the house today except to feed the birds. I'm relieved that someone has taken the trouble to try and help me seriously. The other psych made me very uneasy. AND then I'm starting with a therapist soon. A psychologist. I can't live like I've been existing much longer.......I hope things get better now. pat
