Dear Fuzzybear, I have not read The Shadow of the Object: Psychoanalysis of the Unthought Known by Christopher Bollas. (Is that the correct Shadow of the Object?) It sounds exceptionally interesting, especially as it involves early childhood social development and attachment, but I fear it is far beyond me. Among the first things I encountered in looking up the book is "object relations theory" and the world of Psychoanalysis.
