I don't know if you want children. But I thought I would share that my OB/GYN has me on continuous birth control, I skip over the sugar pills when done with the hormone pills and then move on to the next pack. This is supposed to stop the periods but because my hormones are so out of whack I still have a period sometimes. We've tried this with a couple of birth control pills and the one I'm on now seems to be working best. Before trying this she tried to make my periods light and not two per month by having me take the placebos but only four sugar pills and 24 hormone pills instead of 21 and 7. the GYN also mentioned the IUD as an option and said that it makes periods shorter and lighter.
