I just make myself do what has to be done. Having a routine is important in that regard. For the most part one day is about the same as another for me & I do pretty-much the same things each day. So I just follow my routine and make myself do whatever happens to come next. Typically, when I'm done, I feel at least a bit better. I'm also a proponent of the Buddhist practice of compassionate abiding which I often recommend to members here on MSF.
