4000 mg is approximately one teaspoonful.

Of that amount, only about 30% is the highly beneficial long-chain omega-3s.

You'd get roughly the same amount in a 100 gram (3 1/2 oz) serving of salmon.

If burned for energy, this amount of fat is about 35 calories, but we know that the fat is put to better use.
