I wish there was a safer, more effective alternative to Klonopin too. I hardly take it but seems to be the only thing that calms me down a bit.

I also lay in my bed paralyzed in fear and hopelessness and cannot get myself to do even the littlest things that I know will help. 😔
Sorry you're going through such a rough time!

I hear you on the doubts about psych meds. I take several meds daily and I still worry about their side effects. The way I stay on mine is just to think of the pros and cons. Perhaps a list of pros and cons would be helpful for you to make about the psych meds and their potential benefits versus their potential negative effects.

I also hear you when you say it is extremely difficult to find a good psychiatrist. Sometimes having an empathetic psychiatrist can make all the difference in the world.

As for the Klonopin, I am no doctor, but I take Klonopin. Anyway, it seems to help me. I hope you can find something that works for you.

As for laying in bed paralyzed with fear and hopelesness, have you thought about like what is the smallest thing you can do to help yourself on any given day? Sometimes that helps when I'm super depressed. If you just come up with literally one thing, sometimes it helps. Like for example, getting out of bed for one minute to brush your teeth or something like that. I know it might sound kind of silly, but that has helped me in the past.
