I think you are entitled to feel and think whatever you do. One thing I’ve noticed as restrictions ease is that everyone responds a little (or a lot) differently. I have heard some people passing judgement such as they believe everyone will get covid and therefore we should get on as normal. I don’t personally understand this attitude- I understand they may feel this way about it themselves and that’s fine, but why do they feel they have the right to judge how others may feel or think.

To me it comes down to respect. Respecting others may feel and think differently, which is due to a whole lot of factors.

I hope you managed to come to an understanding where your family gathering is concerned, and that you’re feeling okay about your choices with your course too.
