Glad I saw this. You need to change something.
In my case, I was taking 15 mg Buspar (buspirone) three times a day for a total of 45 mg and 40 mg of Viibryd once a day. I've been on them both for years but it was only a couple of years ago that I went from 15 mg in the morning once a day of Buspar to the 45 mg in an attempt to get off of benzodiazepines, which I did. Since then, my bipolar disorder has gotten exponentially worse and I have been hospitalized five times. When I wasn't in the hospital I was shopping and blowing through $10,000 in disability payments.
Serotonin syndrome causes heart problems and such as well. I'm lucky it didn't seem to affect me that way.
I brought it to my prescribing nurse's attention and she took me off the Buspar immediately. I am slowly weaning off of Viibryd and I signed the form needed for her to access my hospital records and get the results from my genesight test. When I see her again on May 19th, she'll recommend a new antidepressant based on that. Meanwhile, I'm back on Klonopin. Ew.
