It sounds like your cat could have a food allergy. Last summer one of mine was vomiting horrifically for 2 days, etc., all sorts of tests, vet finally suggested a hydrolyzed protein prescription diet (easy to get). Bang, he's been fine. Is that a possibility? Food allergies are pretty common and can cause the cat to appear to be very sick.
