I agree with Soupe, there is absolutely no reason for you to suffer like that. I'm not sure what the hesitation to help from your psychiatrist is, but it seems almost unethical. I hope you find relief soon. I don't have any practical advice other than definitely consider a psychiatrist that is working on your behalf.
