I didn't know this. I've never seen black ones, just the red. Tiny and not as sweet as blueberries or blackberries.

Produce has gotten so high, it's like this dystopian novel I read years ago called The Water Knife. It was about the severe drought in the Southwestern US....lucky me.......

People were so desperate for any liquid they'd pay a LOT for a tiny basket of berries. We're not too far away from that novel these days.

I can't remember how long ago it was but I used to get a basket for 99 cents. They had them on sale a lot then. Not anymore.
