I’d have to say the canning job I had one summer when I was young. It was so long ago now I don’t recall the starting hour but it was early. I had to drive to where a bus came and picked us up and drove us to the factory. It was a huge un heated, unAC building. I stood in front of three rows of conveyer belts that moved at different speeds and picked out asparagus from the belt it came in on along with dirt bugs and rodents and sorted it into the other belts. By noon it was so hot we were sweating buckets and some people would faint. It was definitely an eye opener and a good reason to stay in school.
