Hi @
~Christina. Hubby and I leave for France in 2 1/2 weeks.
Are there ever any yard sales near you? I know many sell clothes, and sometimes quite nice ones. I did, even for prices like 50 cents to $5. Some even give stuff away for free. The
Freecycle website has listings of such sales and "freebie days" in New Jersey and beyond. Cheaper than consignment shops and often even thrift shops. In Czech Republic, the price of fruit and produce is MUCH cheaper at farmer's markets than in stores. For example, I bought a huge (heaping liter/quart) box fresh raspberries at the farmer's market for 25% the cost of the online grocer and 50% of the cost at the cheaper brick and mortar grocer. Similar for veggies like zucchini and asparagus.
I sure hope inflation eases around the world soon. If we could just end these pandemics already, and war. Plus, cooperate more, politically (no obstructionism, focus on only the highest priorities). And seek cleaner alternative energy sources.
