Up here that’s bad news as there isn’t any buses or Uber. There two taxis that cooperate with each other so they charge a lot. This isn’t a place you can get around without a car. And if it is too much what am I gonna do? My sister was here yesterday and told mum she should help me out as I’m the one to drives her everywhere and drive to go get whatever she wants. But that’s how we decided to split the bills when I came to live here. I do all the food, transportation and outside stuff. I’ve also bought a lot of her clothes because she’s not online and she doesn’t go shopping anymore. So I buy her stuff as she needs it.

I know where you're at and I really, really feel for you. I am entirely car dependent here, too. Totally. It's a shaky feeling.
But you know...if your mom has the means, helping you out with the car repair would be very noble of her.
