I'd say to avoid stuff that's particularly political, as I've gotten posts deleted for that (I'm more careful now!).
If you're at all in doubt about adding a trigger warning, better to be safe and just add it.
I will say, I still don't understand the policy on not saying goodbye in the forums if you're leaving. And threads getting deleted about that. Honestly, I'd rather know that someone is opting to leave as opposed to just wondering what happened to them, if they're still OK. I know they can PM people, but just a post saying, "Hey, I'm going to leave the forums" seems fairly harmless?
You were once a moderator, @@, can you explain why that's a problem? (or can anyone else) I mean, I know there are general memes about people not needing to announce their departure, but is there a particular reason for it?
