We've had a temporary managing director for the last 6 weeks and today was his last day. As a parting gift he gave everyone a bottle of really nice wine (we're a small office.) My alcoholic brain immediately started thinking that if I went off my antabuse I could really enjoy it on the weekend, so I'm going to give it to my landlords as soon as I get home, because I don't trust myself to have it in the house.

But on a weird note, he said "I hear you don't drink" to me, and I said nope I don't. I've never said that I don't drink at the office -we've just had the one company dinner where I was the only person not drinking, guess I was wrong that nobody noticed Either that or my boss has recognized the AA symbol on a pair of really discrete earings that I sometimes wear - she hasn't said anything to me about it, but she's the only person who could have told him I don't drink. Sort of a weird feeling of being 1/2 out but not really.
