I figured out what Desert Hearts was. It was the Spratts and Carsons and Potsherds that puzzled me. I thought it might be the human cast of “Mr. Ed.”

On another topic, my mother’s birthday is later this week. The same day is the probate hearing. Then a memorial luncheon organized by my aunts.

I am not looking forward to that day. When I emailed Info about this, her response was “firsts are always painful.” But that’s only one of the things bothering me, as anyone with a gram of insight would have recognized.
