@@ - the luncheon sounds like a nightmare to me. Then again, the big wake luncheon we had for my mother was really the only tolerable part of the whole deal for me. One, my canadian aunt(-in-law) was sat at my table and she is the only human in the family. Two, it was held in my old church bldg, so that had a lot of good memories for me. I used to clean the wax off the candles, back when i was gonna be a nun, 8th grade-ish.That smelled sooo good.

My H has a bunch of Canadian cousins (Irish Canadians). They're lots of fun--came down for our wedding (danced the whole reception--plenty of beer/wine was also involved) and also for some family things.
