My company does not have official bereavement leave because it's too small of a company. They covered me somehow other than my needing to take vacation or sick days. I would feel guilty for taking more time, since they don't even have bereavement days available, although I could really use the additional time off. Of course, there's also the fact that I took a full month's medical leave in March. I don't know how amenable they are to me taking more time off at this stage, even for bereavement.
