There are so many emotions oome up when finding out that what we thought was a match that would last a lifetime turns out to be a major disappointment. You are fortunate in a way to have a child because that is someone outside yourself that needs to be cared for and it could help reduce the amount of time spent on one's own problems.
Glad you are closer to family and hoping that you also apply for any relief services you are eligible for. That is what they are for when life hands us a curve. There are also Child Tax Credit which you could check eligibility for at Federal level. Different states have different types of support for people in your situation. Any help you can get will help stretch whatever resources you have.
