I have a dentist appointment today at 3:30 PM PST that cannot come soon enough.
TRI for Dental description
Possible trigger:
so I have benign bone tumors in my mouth and jaw. I have had them for years and while sometimes they cause me pain, usually they don't. About two months ago, I started developing pain in the rear of my mouth on the bottom, where the gum is, not by a tooth. There appears to be bone protruding from the gum. I had this one other time and it was very painful but within a couple of months the bone had worked it's way out and it was no longer painful. My gum is getting irritated and I am finding it hard to eat on that side of my mouth, even though this protruding bone is very small. Since it has been a couple of months and this hasn't gone away, I broke down and made an appointment with the dentist. I am hoping they can fix it relatively soon (like today would be great but I am sure they will schedule another appointment to take care of it). It is likely either a piece of bone that had died from the tumors and is being rejected by my mouth and is working it's way out of the gum, or it is a bone spur. But since I haven't been to the dentist in a little while I am pretty anxious. Although the anxiety of getting it taken care of verses the anxiety about going to get it taken care of is about equal. I just hope I can be out of pain soon.
