Medicaid came through!!! Finally!! First time since February I have healthcare I don't have to pay for completely out of pocket. Of course, bureaucracies being bureaucracies, I found out the good news when the free clinic canceled my Friday appointment out of the blue. No goodbye. No transfer of care. Just the medical equivalent of "Get off my lawn!" I lucked out though! The local clinic that works with the same hospital has an appointment for tomorrow. No extra paperwork, I have a proper provider, referrals can actually be made rather than hoped for, I can actually pick up meds in town. A good day so far!
