Sorry I better shut up, I am a bit geography junky and am biased towards small countries. People made funny comments about a small country I am from such as: “is this a new country?” “is this a part of …(insert your choice of large surrounding countries)”? “There is no country like that, I’ve never seen in on a map”, “do people there speak (insert random names of languages from unrelated regions)?” Etc etc etc One time a man said in response to telling him name of my country “Salam Alleikum”. Hhmm OK…Wrong region.
