As for pharmacy, it is a little like working in a chemist’s, except that I am a technician, not a pharmacist, and I work in a central fill pharmacy, so fortunately I don’t have to be around customers. I have (sort of) reconciled myself to the fact that it would be unwise to change jobs again until I get in a better position to pursue graphic design. It could be worse, I guess.

Can I just say I appreciate what you do? I mean, dang, what a job. You are literally enabling so many people to get the medication they absolutely need to survive (myself included). I wish there were better ways in society to show that we appreciate people. Oftentimes when I go to the pharmacy to pick up my medication, I want to just tell the technician and the pharmacist how much I appreciate them. (There isn't time for that, because there's usually a long line of customers). But if I could shout from the rooftops how much I appreciate anybody who works in that type of job, I would do it gladly. Seriously. I'm not meaning this as like a pep talk or anything. I used to work in tutoring and I had to keep reminding myself that I am helping people ultimately. It helped a little. So maybe a shift in perspective could help you a little bit at least. But it's hard. I know.
