What offends me is when they use Bi-polar as a defense for killing their kids, makes me INSANE. I know the disease differs for different people, and a person that kills their own child is definately ill. But come on! In the Andrea Yates case, where was her husband, he KNEW she was sick, KNEW what would happen if she stopped taking the meds to have another child yet he bares no responsibility. There is a case locally of a woman killing her toddler because the "Bible" told her so. Her legal defense... Bipolar.
