Without the context is not easy to give an opinion. At least, not for me.

There’s a video by Dr Grande in which he treats the differences between Narcissism and Borderline.
I think to remember it was most based on how one and other disorder may seem similar but what is for real behind each symptom are very different.
I remember that a person with NPD chose not having empathy whereas a person with BPD has it. This last one has remorse and shame.

Then, manipulation are very different. While Narc does it for a sense of entitlement, the borderline manipulate to avoid the extreme turmoil that causes them abandonment.

@Fuzzy, could you give more clues about the doctor who says this. I’m very interested. Please.
