Wings when periods were heavier in my 20s. Now that I am in my 40s, no wings. Periods are not as heavy - I no longer need the extra protection plus they're more of a hassle. But, back in the day... I wouldn't have dreamt of going wingless! I needed extra protection because I would get side leaks.
