Yikes I still think of millennials and Gen X, whatever they are as “kids”! I can’t even keep up with each letter for a generation…..
I remember not only pay phones but call boxes along highways. I don’t think it wise to rely on cell phones as you may not have a signal, weak battery or out of your area. Some other crap like that which landlines don’t have. They always work except during the most severe storms.
TV was simpler to me in the old days. We had just a few channels but they were over the air. It was free….. Now you have to pay for stuff.
Handwritten letters and cards versus impersonal email. And the latter opens up the floodgates for scams. Snail mail is harder and slower, scammers can send thousands of emails in seconds but sending thousands of paper letters would be more cumbersome.
I still wear a watch. It’s over 20 years old. Easier to glance at it than dig out my phone and press a button to view the screen since it goes dark when not using.
I miss a lot of things from my generation and I’m sure each generation feels that sooner or later.
