I'm training a service dog to do the following:
  • “Search home”- paranoia
  • Protect from strangers (crowd control)
  • Tactile grounding
  • Answer door
  • initiates a game of fetch or tug with a toy- For anxiety/paranoia
  • Dog is trained to respond with nudging and/or pawing whenever he hears the beeping from a wristwatch with an alarm clock function (food reminder/med reminder)
  • Get medication drink
  • Get h/get help
  • Sit/stay for stability in/ out of the shower
  • Lead to exit/car
  • Laundry (Put in open washer)
  • Pull trash ( in like a wagon)
  • Carry Groceries
  • Counter balance

I'm worried that's to much for a dog to learn?
She'll be "owner trained" but I'm getting a trainer too for when we get stuck. I've been told the Service dog is a band aid. Any opinions, questions, things I haven't thought about?

Here she is

I'm going to use this thread to document her progress.
