He has bipolar himself and his dad is a bit abusive and his mom is a bit of a nutcase who is very conserative and refuses to get vaccinated and they think she is developing dementia. They don't want either around the kids much. So my bil doesn't have a good relationship with them so at that moment all he had was my mom to get out his feelings.
