We’re in a drought here as well and it’s been a very hot summer. Climate change is definitely at fault here, because last summer we had such crazy weather that I have never experienced before. There were 17 confirmed tornadoes in NJ and three of them passed right near our house. Like we got a warning from the weather station telling us that it was actually headed our way and we best get to safety. During one even my cat was like “nope” and was skulking low to the ground to find somewhere to hide in the basement. Thankfully they didn’t actually hit us but my grandma got stranded in her car in the garage. She got six inches of rain in two or so hours and her sump pump couldn’t keep up. Badass that she is when it stopped raining (10pm-ish) she went straight downstairs to uses two old pool pumps to pump out the water and set up fans to dry everything. She wasn’t gonna let water sit in her basement till the morning!!!

Anyway I agree that the weather is changing. Our governor also passed a similar law, but RS says he’ll drive his vehicles (two diesel trucks and a 1990 jeep Cherokee) until they specifically come and tow them away. Ah well, can’t convince everyone!

Haha, good for grandma!

I hear a lot about no-driver cars in addition to electric cars. I HATE climate change so I am trying to be sensible. That said, I love, love to drive and would sorely miss the day I cannot, for whatever reason, drive a good old car that runs on gasoline. I find my most peaceful moments tend to come when I'm driving. Well, what will be, will be.
