My mom wasn't able to attend Sunday services (or go visit family) because of a GI issue, one that's been plaguing her for several days and might require medical attention if it doesn't abate soon. She's working the OTC angle without luck, so I suggested a couple of remedies I knew of and brought her and my dad the medicine with the caution to not overdo it and go to the hospital if it doesn't resolve by tomorrow afternoon. The family stubbornness, especially about the unnecessary things, extends to medicine. I might have to give them a call with a friendly reminder to well... consult with medical professionals!

I told my mother of my musical plans for the two of us and I guess my father was listening, because well... the obvious happened. "You need to get new tires! Have you even thought about that?" "Yes. Yes I have. Now about Hadestown..." I could hear him grumbling in the background. Whatever.

Later that day, I has a chance to chat with a friend who is endearingly and relentlessly positive. Her optimism never feels forced and it really does lift you up! Her latest life suggestion for me: become a travel writer. I would absolutely have a lot of fun doing it! I'd just need somebody to help get the whole enterprise off the ground

Finish the night with a movie (3000 Years of Longing) and you have my Sunday!

I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
