Ohhh, it's killing me to hear about those upper-60's days. Lawdy, Lawdy. It's just not fair.
There is the most glorious moon tonight! It's golden on top and a blue-gold on the bottom. The kind of moon that appears only on a hot, hot night. Word is we will be getting smoke down here tomorrow from the wildfire north of here. The smoke is certainly not healthy, but sometimes it cuts the intensity of the heat a bit.
I made it to the grocery store, more or less. I was feeling pretty weird-headed for a couple of hours after I got home, but I finally really cooled down. Then I felt okay. David came over and helped take out all the recycling. I was grateful. But his ribs are fractured from the bike accident a couple of weeks ago, so he needs to be careful. But the heat doesn't bother him.
The store hardly looked like a "day before Labor Day" crowd. Hardly anybody in there. Probably not many barbecues planned for tomorrow, or any outside activity. (Hmmm...is that the steak being barbecued, or is it me being barbecued...lemme check...)
Time to do pre-bedtime chores. I should leave the a/c on overnight, but the cats and I need some night air.
