Have you ever had a similar moment? One of feeling at home in a distant place?
@Aurelius710, I've been to Kraków twice. Most recently in September 2021, because my Czech husband had never visited that city. The first time in the summer of 1992, during my university years. I agree it's a nice city. I visited the Aushwitz museum during the first trip. On a bus heading to Krakow, in the wee early hours of the morning, I remember seeing the most beautiful sunrise ever. I will never forget it!

I experienced a moment like you describe maybe three (?) years ago in Paris, France. My husband was in the Airbnb napping, but I was not tired. I decided to walk around the corner to a café bar and have a beverage. The friendly bartender/waiter started a conversation with me, as did a customer who was clearly "a regular" there. When I left, I had the pleasant feeling that "regulars" have when they feel part of some community. I do speak enough French that that was possible.

Question: Describe a very peaceful or surreal moment you've had in the past.
