New parents who have signed up to lead a den of cub scouts will soon fill a room and wait for information.
How exciting it is to be someone who has the answers for them, and can make them comfortable with their tasks at hand.
Providing the instruments of crafts for the month's theme, laid out in bright colors and shapes hopefully will
encourage them as much as it will give joy and fun for the cub scouts.
Volunteering to help others, even if one of them is your own son, is a noble gesture of citizenship.
Showing others how to teach and show by example the elements of morality and ethical decisions, while
very basic at this level, is equally important at any age.
Following the rules, understood and written, helps everyone get along.
And children, you know, see everything you do, whether you wear a uniform and stand before them, or a houserobe in the kitchen cooking breakfast.
Be the best leader you can be...you never know where your child will wander on his own.
