And my car is fixed! New alternator, new battery, 4 used (but still useful tires) and all under budget!
I did lose any relationship I had with that previous mechanic courtesy of my father's bull in a china shop routine, but you know what? They weren't exactly the best people to deal with anyway given what I managed to get done without them.
I've got resources of my own now!
