Mindfullness might help. I'm meditating daily now. The idea is to let the thoughts and emotions come and go while realizing they are but clouds in the sky, passing by, not defining us. Our Self is the blue sky above the clouds, sometimes unseen, but never truly one with the clouds. As such, I train to keep the sky blue, and accept the clouds as they are, but not as defining or anihilating me.
