Breaking Dawn Compassionate Abiding is a Buddhist practice. And everything I know about it I learned from reading the writings of the Buddhist nun Pema Chödrön. It is my go-to practice for any-&-all things in my life which are anxiety as well as depression producing. (And there are a multitude of them.) I highly recommend Ani Pema's books. There are also videos, on YouTube, of talks she has given over the years.
