I live in a town full of alcoholics. I’m on antipsychotic and anti anxiety medication as well as remicade now.
In my younger years in the military I would drink to black out usually because I was with so called friends who would want me to drink like they were doing.

I would make a total *** out of myself. Then those so called friends would give me the cold shoulder later on and outcast me.

Years have gone by since I’ve been out. Now everybody automatically assumes I’ve never had a drop in my life. These guys show up to work drunk and hung over driving company vehicles.

One of them had the nerve to go on a rant and call a few of the other guys a bunch of lazy pieces of s&it including myself for seeing something we did that he didn’t like. I got in his face and called him out in front of everyone even the boss.

Nothing was done about except a talking to.

Is there something anyone could help me to think to say to these guys when they try and say “you’ve never drank before you don’t get it.”
