I remember all those cameras and used the mimeograph machine when I was first teaching.
Remember the days where hired people did more for you? I remember that a major department store chain (In the South) hired women to check out your bra sizes and find a bra for you--and the store had seamstresses to alter your purchases. And the workers helped you pick out clothes and put back the ones that didn't fit. The men's section had men to measure for suits and alter as well, as well as pick out clothes. Now this store has only two workers for a whole floor!
And gas station workers checked your oil, washed your windshield, and put the gas in for you.
And workers took care of your credit and debit cars.
I see more and more stores are having self checkouts.
And people, not computers, answered the phone and helped you.
I miss all that!
