Hey @Aviza I can assure you owning your home outright is 100% always wise. I dont mean a mansion. My house is a 200 year old ramshackle bit that we were so lucky to get a reasonble price on even with the market about to fall due to overmortgaged people and subprime lending- We closed in 2007 or 2008 and the economy tanked and husband was out of work for a year. If our house wasnt reasonably priced we would have lost it. But we made it off two years ago in 2019 with the help of an inheritance. Now all we need to make sure of is taxes are paid and water sewer paid.
