I don't know. I hope so. I know I have much more control than I used to. And there are a number of meds that work for prevention/stopping them that I can't take with the MAOI so hopefully that reduces some people's problems.


I'm ok with how things are; it was so much worse before menopause. I had a list of foods I had to avoid, I needed vicodin much more often and I had migraines nearly daily for a while. Now it's barely an annoyance most of the time; I get a nasty one every so often. Right now I'm getting more because I'm not sleeping as well but I found a cap you freeze and it helps a lot.


There are other natural options besides magnesium but since we don't know how the herbs interact with the MAOI I couldn't try them, just being cautious.
