I used to love flannel sheets in the winter when we had several months of real winter. I can remember some of the nice patterns on those sheets. Red, blue, green buffalo plaids with little white penguins. Or all a warm-red color. Now it's not worth it to buy flannel sheet sets and use them for only a month or so. I do have 1 set of linen sheets for cold weather. The linen is warmer than cotton or bamboo or microfiber, but it's also rough feeling.
