As OafFish said, I'm sure your boyfriend will understand if you explain to him that you need a little more alone time to process your thoughts and feelings, etc. Talk it over with him thoroughly so you can figure out together what works for the both of you.
Since you're not longer seeing a therapist, maybe journaling would help you? I've been trying to get back to it...it helps me a lot, when I have the time/energy/discipline to sit down and do it.
